I just finished making a simple pink baby quilt to donate to a local women's shelter here in Boise. I used part of a dark pink cotton vintage sheet, a vintage sheet with various pink circles, and then a dotted flannel for the backing. I cut 4.5 inch squares (11.43 cm) and then simply alternated the blocks. I used some leftover hand dyed lilac cotton strips for the borders (hurrah one less bag of scraps!), and then placed polyester batting in the center.
I machine quilted pink circles in the dark pink squares and then machine bound the quilt using the fabric with pink circles.
I hope this quilt will keep a little one warm this winter. Baby quilts are just so much fun to make....
Happy quilting,
Judy

How very precious! Love the pinks!
What a sweet little quilt and look at you! Would have taken me months
and you probably whipped that out in a day or two. What a comfort it will be to some special little one.
