Flying Geese Baby Quilts

A couple of months ago I decided to do a run of baby quilts,

using a flying geese block.

 I chose some fun pink and purple fabrics and then started sewing.

I brought out my trusty vintage mechanical Bernina machine.
 It’s around thirty years old and still going strong.

I was having a lot of fun piecing these blocks
while listening to a really good Cormoran Strike novel.
 Before I knew it,
I had enough blocks to make 14 donation baby quilts.
 😂
It’s all good,
even if I ended up with many more blocks than I envisioned.
 I just finished machine quilting them
and sewing the bindings on,
 so they are ready to drop off at a local women’s homeless shelter.
 I think I’ll be taking a break from sewing baby quilts,
at least for a while…

Happy sewing,
Judy
