Weaving A Plain Weave Rug

Last winter I spent hours in my basement dyeing rug wool.

Now I get to play/weave with the yarn that I dyed.

I’m weaving this on my vintage Glimåkra countermarch loom.

My husband, Marshall, created two long treadles

for me so that I can stand while weaving.

They work quite well.

I’m using plain weave with alternating, random stripes

 to weave this rug.

I’m choosing colors to coordinate with an improv quilt that I made.

Weave on,
Judy
