Spinning Polwarth Wool

 

This week I’ve been spinning a singles yarn

 using a Turkish spindle created by my husband, Marshall. 

He created the spindle out of holly wood

 and the arms are made out of bloodwood. 

It’s a fast spinner! 

I’m spinning some soft Polwarth roving 

which I plan on plying for a soft scarf.
