A Finished Quilted Bag for Knitting Projects
I just finished sewing this quilted bag for knitting projects.
I was inspired by Mieko,
using her assembly method,
but changing the blocks and the size of the bag.
I also lengthened the shoulder strap to fit me better as I’m tall.
I love Mieko’s videos on YouTube-
she has a very peaceful and relaxed sewing/quilting style.
I cut 32 squares that were 4” x 4”
out of leftover batting
(I knew that bag of batting scraps would come in handy one day!)
I then sewed strips from my scrap bins,
choosing grey, white and red this time around.
I sewed 32 of these,
arranged them in a pleasing way
and then sewed them together in four rows of four blocks.
I had some leftover blocks from another project
that I turned into interior pockets for the bag.
I loved how this miniature mariner’s compass block turned out.
I now have a lovely bag to hold one of my knitting WIP. 😊
Happy sewing,
Judy
