A Three Ply Merino Yarn for a Special Hat

 

-5 ounces (142 g) of Merino roving

-I dyed it with acid solutions of brilliant blue, charcoal gray and black

-I split the roving into thirds

-the first third was split in half

-the second third was split into fourths

-the last third was split into sixths

-I wanted short bursts of color in the three ply yarn that I spun with my HansenCraft MiniSpinner Pro

-this will be knit up into a special hat for someone
